2009 SKI DAYS PHOTO CONTEST INFORMATION 

Category A – Ski Fun/Family/Friends 

Themes: ski events, ski groups, elder 

and youth skier, extreme x-country 

skiing (jumps, speed etc.) 

Category B – Ski Nature 

Themes: photos that depict the 

natural beauty of x-country skiing, 

skiers, technique or ski trails 

Contest Rules 

- Contest is open to NWT residents1  

- Photo must have NWT content and feature some element of 

cross- country skiing 

- photos entered must not have been published previously 

- Entrants must have taken the  

- Deadline is February 17, 2009 

Prizes 

Winner Category A: Ski Equipment Package (value $500) Canoe 

North/MSS Ltd., Hay River 

Winner, Category B: Ski Equipment Package (value $500) Overland 

Sports, Yellowknife 

Publication 

Winning photos, as well as runners-up, will be posted at 

www.nwtrpa.org.  

NWT Recreation and Parks Association reserve the right to publish 

or use any entry for promotion purposes. Winning entrants will be 

asked to ensure people in each photo have agreed to have their 

image published.

 NWTRPA employees, Board members or their families are ineligible to enter 

Submitting Photos 

All photographs must be submitted digitally and received no later 

than 11:59 pm, February 16.   

Entries must indicate: 

 the contestant’s name 

 address and phone number 

 the photo category (ie. ‘Ski Family…’ or ‘Ski Extreme’) 

Photos can be mailed by CD to:

Judging 

The winners will be selected by a panel of judges. The decision of 

the judges is final. 

Return of Entries 

All entries will remain the property of the NWT Recreation and 

Parks Association.  CDs will not be returned.
